Persistent criminal Stephen Holliday was arrested this month after robbing the Summit Bank in downtown Oakland. Tellers recognized Holliday when he came into the bank, which may not be surprising given that this was (or would have been) Holliday's fifth robbery at that same location in the last nine weeks.
Holliday fled after being confronted by the tellers, and was arrested a few blocks away with the demand note still in his pocket. He is also suspected in seven San Francisco bank robberies, five of which occurred at the same San Francisco location.
It does make you wonder how often they catch somebody on the first through third tries. Not that I'm suggesting anything, it just makes you wonder.
