Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced yesterday that they had arrested 22 members of a drug cartel, and seized at least one shipment of cocaine that the cartel had "branded" with a distinctive symbol -- a picture of the Teletubbies. The Smoking Gun website has pictures of the stash, each brick colorfully labeled with Tinky Winky, Laa-Laa, and -- well, whatever the other two are called.
Having seen that show just once, I knew that whoever created it was getting high quite a bit. Maybe there are Teletubby-brand 'shrooms out there.
This is not the first time that a cartel has branded its product in this way. Police have seized shipments of "Bin Laden" heroin and "Harry Potters," which are Ecstasy tablets with "HP" printed on them in the lightning-bolt font used on the book covers.
