Authorities in Grand Junction, Colorado, said they would "keep in touch" with a man who reported 12 checks had been stolen out of his checkbook in April. The man told police that he found the checks missing after he had "misplaced" the checkbook for some time.
At the time of the report, it did not seem that any of the checks had bounced, but the man said he was reporting the possible theft in advance because he believed the checks had been written without his permission, by one of his other 24 personalities.
I've been trying to get the IRS to listen to a similar theory, but they keep asking me for the back taxes. I didn't earn that money, someone else did.
