A young man in Shenango, PA, claims that he was the victim of a Tim-Tebow-themed assault last week while mowing his lawn.
According to a police report posted by The Smoking Gun, the victim reported that at one point he turned his mower around on the road, driving into the path of an oncoming car. The driver stopped, got out, ran into the yard, knocked the victim off the lawn mower and then "walked back toward his vehicle, stopping and kneeling down as if in prayer (a 'Tebow')." He then fled the scene.
In the video above, the victim says he was "clotheslined" by the mysterious assailant, who then "did a Tim Tebow before he left," so that is roughly consistent with the story he told the police. He has his left arm in a sling, which is probably overdoing it a bit, but I guess such an injury is not impossible if you have been clotheslined off a riding mower.
The suspect was described as a bald male wearing glasses, so that rules out Tebow himself. Apparently we are dealing with a copycat, so be careful out there.
