Good Reason to Kill #22: Disrespected Loretta Lynn

From the Savannah Morning News:

An argument about country music stars Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn escalated into a domestic dispute that has Savannah-Chatham police looking for a man believed to have attacked two people with a hammer March 20.

According to a second report, the specific point being debated was "who really started country music," although that seems unlikely because I know nothing about country music and even I know that Loretta Lynn predated Reba McEntire by about two decades. (Okay, I know one thing about it.) Probably the argument was about which one is "better," because that's the kind of unresolvable and utterly pointless debate that seems more likely to be settled with something out of the tool shed.

The hammerer allegedly went after two of his girlfriend's acquaintances (who apparently were not seriously injured) but was driven off when "a third woman grabbed a hammer of her own, as well as a rolling pin, and ordered him off the property." (Not prepared for things to escalate, were you, Mr. Tough Guy?) He later surrendered to police and has been charged with aggravated assault.

Not that it matters, but he is said to have taken the pro-Loretta position in the debate.
